Hey!
It's been a while since I last blogged.
I am now kinda settled in Shanghai after a week and a half of annoying things to do, contracts to sign etc. But I'm glad to be back.
I moved into my new apartment; it is right oppostite my university (Jiaotong Da Xue) and pretty close to my gym ( Will's) and Starbucks. Also not too far from logo, a favorite hangout place of mine.
I got the largest room, I have a double bed, a large dresser, a seating area and huge windows with a view of Xujiahui. Our apartment is pretty cold, and has no oven, but I have two front doors, so the security is pretty good, I think. I hope.
The sun is shining today on one of the last days of Chinese New Year of the OX (moooh) .
The spring festival has been going on since sunday the 25th, and the fireworks have been non stop. Living on the 20th floor, it's pretty cool, because the fireworks are right outside my window. But after 5 hours of explosions, and not being able to hear the dvd, it gets old.
Anywho, I've been going out a lot this week, I have way too much free time. Went to a club called M1nt a few times, and also ended up at Mao club alot too, and M2. I've met a few new people, and caught up with old ones. But everyone is on holiday now, alas in a few days they will be returning from the sun.
On tuesday, I am starting a short internship at an e commerce company called VirtualVillage. I don't know how long I will be there for, depends on my class schedule etc. but I'm excited to learn something.
Soerine is also coming back to Shanghai from Australia tomorrow so can't wait to see her!
Living is cheap here, and relatively easy, yet not as easy as living at home is. I'm going home today to eat lasagna and tomorrow I'm beginning my application for Copenhagen Business School.. fun fun.

Ode to the silo

High up above,

20 floors off the ground

is where I live and love

wind is the only sound.

Beer brewing is all I can smell,

it floats heavily through the air

but my designer chair also fell

out the window with flair.

It crushed my bike shed

with a big kaboom!

A man quickly fled

and I cleaned with a broom.

It was a great party,

We all had a blast

But after that chair,

the parties ended fast.

Mia and Soerine often came over,

We watched films and ate fries in my bed

They are my best friends and "lover(s)"

No more needs to be said.

So here is the end to ode to the silo

I need to finish packing

I will miss my round building

So lets get cracking

Goodbye Denmark

Hello hello,
This is my first blog entry; now my friends and family (you) can read about what I'm up to in Shanghai,China.
So I lived there from 2005-2008 with my family, graduated from The British International School in Shanghai, and moved back to Denmark to attend a creative school for a few months. It was great fun, but I have now decided to return to my Asian home...

I've enrolled in Jiaotong University, starting in february, and gonna live in Xujiahui - one of the many CBD shopping districts in Shanghai, near the old French Concession, Grand Gateway, and one of Shanghai's few Catholic Churches (fyi I'm not Catholic)
I'm moving to Shanghai on Monday the 19th, so I'm packing up my last things and getting ready to say goodbye to my lovely friends here. They must be getting so tired of me leaving all the time, coming back, leaving again. But moving all the time really shows you who you're true friends are - the ones who miss you! I'll miss living in the tall round building, I'll miss my room mates Mia and Soerine, and all my other friends, will miss working at Betty Nansen and will miss Borups! and Chicken kebab.

I'm excited about going back to Asia. I'm especially looking forward to eating xiao long bao (dumplings), going out to clubs ( Shelter, Lounge 18, Mao etc.) and going to markets, coffee on Xinle lu, getting nails done for 10 rmb (10 kr) and having designer stuff copied at the market! Hell Yes! oh yeah, and being together with my family again, but minor detail ;)
I'm hoping to continue doing some voice dubbing for Bright Shadow Films while I'm back in SHanghai, and hopefully tutor english, and party my ass off. Oh and learn Chinese.
